Help me amplify these important voices and bring their powerful stories to light!
I Hear You, Gen Z will follow filmmaker and youth advocate Raquel Borras as she travels across America for two weeks in an RV, seeking authentic conversations with young people from diverse backgrounds. Rather than talking about Gen Z, this documentary will create space for them to speak for themselves about mental health, social change, identity, and their vision for the future.
As a Gen X mother of two Gen Z children, founder of raqvision, host of the popular Raq The Boat YouTube channel and Rated Gen Z podcast, Borras brings a unique perspective to this generational exploration. The film will capture candid, unscripted moments that reveal the complexity, resilience, and innovative thinking of a generation often misunderstood by older adults.
More than entertainment, I Hear You, Gen Z will serve as a bridge-building tool for parents, educators, employers, and community leaders seeking to better understand and connect with today’s youth. Through intimate storytelling and genuine human connection, the documentary will transform stereotypes into understanding and build pathways for meaningful intergenerational dialogue.
Set to begin production next month with plans for educational distribution, the film represents a movement toward truly listening to young voices rather than simply observing them from a distance.
